Ansei Nankai Earthquake
A large-scale earthquake and subsequent damage occurred 32 hours after the Ansei Tokai earthquake on December 24, 1854. The affected areas were widespread, covering the Kinai, Tokai, Tosan, Hokuriku, Nankai, Sanin, and Sanyo regions, and it is said that several thousand people were killed, including those killed in the Ansei Tokai earthquake.
