Royal Decree of Ares - Aresu no Ourei

In 1630, he exiled Queen Marie, who had plotted to dismiss Richelieu, and foiled a series of plots and rebellions by the Marshal Duke of Montmorency (1632) and the King's aide Saint-Marc (1642). On the other hand, he took the city of La Rochelle after a siege in 1627, and in 1629, by royal decree of Ales, stripped the Huguenots of their political privileges. He also promoted the centralization of government by expanding the royal bureaucracy through the dispatch of local governors.
