Rubber Tree

In Japan, the term usually refers to the Rubber Tree, which is grown in pots as an interior decoration, but in tropical regions it was once widely cultivated to extract elastic rubber from its sap. Currently, the plant primarily used industrially as a source of rubber is the Para Tree, native to South America.
