...The name comes from the fact that the patient had a fear of wolves. In 1918, Freud published a paper titled "A History of an Infant Neurosis" based on this case. The patient developed a fear of wolves and other animals at about the age of four, but soon began to have blasphemous thoughts and to show obsessive symptoms such as an inability to make the sign of the cross endlessly.
