"Wild Warrior Keaton"

Japanese: 《荒武者キートン》 - あらむしゃきーとん
"Wild Warrior Keaton"

...The pinnacle of his sophistication of gags is the image of a truly physical struggle with unavoidable objects such as natural phenomena (rain, wind, snow, storms, rockslides, etc.), out-of-control transportation (trains, bicycles, ships, etc.), and sometimes the movie itself (camera, film, screen, etc.). For example, he endlessly struggles with such objects as a raging torrent in "The Warrior Keaton" (1923), a runaway bicycle and a movie being shown on a screen in "The Ninja's Guide to Detectives" (1924), a horde of brides attacking him to force marriage and a group of falling rocks in "Seven Chances" (1925), a runaway locomotive in "The General" (1926), a rainstorm in "The Captain" (1928), and a camera in "The Cameraman" (1928). It is also a tearful comedy, in contrast to Chaplin's sentimental "humanism," and a truly visual comedy.
