...Furthermore, as a result of the military conflict with Britain over the Falkland Islands (Malvinas) from April to June 1982, the issue of postwar settlement was added, making economic reconstruction even more difficult. Finally, in December 1983, the transfer of power to civilian rule was realized, and the Alfonsin Radical government implemented the Austral Plan in June 1985 with the aim of rebuilding the economy. This policy also failed to achieve long-term inflation control, and it rekindled ultra-high inflation.
