Arausio (English spelling)

A city in the Roman province of Gallia Narbonensis, now Orange in southern France. It was the home of the Cimbri and was established as a colony by veteran soldiers of the Second Gallic Legion during the reign of Emperor Augustus (27 BC - 14 AD).
