The shape of the daikane for women is basically the same, but for men there are two types classified according to the shape of the back of the head: "aburatsuki" (a wig made by hardening the hair with oil and polishing it. Used for samurai in period dramas) and "fukurotsuki" (a wig with the hair tied up).
