Local rest standard - local rest standard

...Among the stars in the vicinity of the Sun within about 300 light years, those that have a speed of 60 to 70 km/s or more relative to the average of their spatial velocities (called the local stationary reference). Most stars, including the Sun, have a speed of about 30 km/s relative to the local stationary reference, and their velocity vectors are distributed symmetrically with the local stationary reference as the origin.
