Abanera - Abanera

Japanese: アバネーラ - あばねーら
Abanera - Abanera

…In Spanish, it is pronounced habanera. It is a dance music performed in Cuba in the 19th century, and means “(dance) of Havana.”

From Popular Music

...There is also a theory that the lundu was brought to Peru by slaves from Africa before Brazil. The habanera (pronounced abanera) was born in Cuba around 1800 and was introduced to Europe in the mid-19th century. Both the lundu and the habanera have a light, bouncy rhythm that combines dotted eighth notes and sixteenth notes, and are thought to be Portuguese or Spanish music with an African rhythmic feel. This became the basis of Latin American music thereafter. Choro, an instrumental music that was born in Brazil in the mid-19th century, and tango, a dance music that was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the end of the 19th century, are both based on this rhythm.
