[Died] October 18, 1911. Paris. French psychologist. After studying law, medicine, and biology, he became interested in psychology and established a psychology laboratory at the University of Paris in collaboration with H. Bony. He contributed to experimental psychology, pathological psychology, and child psychology. He was particularly known for his use of experimental methods in higher mental processes, and for his collaboration with T. Simon in the measurement of children's intelligence, which led to the completion of the Binet-Simon test and the establishment of the basis of intelligence testing. In 1895, he launched the magazine "L'Année psychologique". His main works include La Psychologie du raisonnement (1886), L'Étude expérimentale de l'intelligence (1903), and Les Idées modernes sur les enfants (11).

Vinet, Alexandre Rodolphe

Born: June 17, 1797, Uchy
Died: May 4, 1847. Clarins Swiss Protestant theologian and literary critic. Professor at the University of Lausanne from 1837 to 1846. He worked to establish a free church in the canton of Vaud. In addition to a collection of sermons and meditations, he also wrote essays on Pascal and 19th century French literature. He was called the "Swiss Schleiermacher" for emphasizing the psychological and emotional elements of religion. His main works are Etudes sur Blaise Pascal (1848) and Mémoire sur les libertés des cultes (26).
