Year of death: May 12, 1918 Year of birth: 1873 (Meiji 6) A Shinnaibushi Tayuu (a chanter of Shinnaibushi) from the Meiji and Taisho periods. His real name was Oyama Kamejiro. He was blind. He first became a disciple of Tsuruga Hanadayu, and later studied under the first Fujimatsu Shicho, so he had both the Tsuruga and Fujimatsu surnames. However, due to a dispute between the two schools, he remained registered as a Tsuruga chanter and joined the Yanagi school of comedy halls, becoming Yanagiya Shicho.
