Pressure tube reactor - Atsuryokukangatagenshiro

A nuclear reactor in which fuel assemblies are placed inside long, thin tubes called pressure channels, and heat is extracted by circulating coolant inside the tubes. This type of reactor is used in the Canadian Heavy Water Reactor (CANDU reactor), Russia's graphite-moderated boiling light water pressure tube reactor (RBMK), and Japan's Advanced Thermal Reactor Fugen. 燃料集合体を圧力管（チャンネル）と呼ばれる細長い管の中に装塡し、その管の中で冷却材を循環させて熱を取り出す仕組みの原子炉。カナダ型重水炉（CANDU炉）、ロシアの黒鉛減速沸騰軽水圧力管型原子炉（RBMK）、日本の新型転換炉ふげんなどが採用。
