Born on July 8, 1889. Studied at the Kansai Art Academy and other institutions, then studied in France in 1914. Known as a mountain painter, he founded the Japan Mountain Painting Association in 1936. His works include "From Maehotakadake Kitaho." He passed away on March 31, 1973, at the age of 83.
