Ashiraibuki - Ashiraibuki

Japanese: アシライ吹キ - あしらいぶき
Ashiraibuki - Ashiraibuki

...A certain melody pattern is played in succession, and the basic fingering is also fixed, but the performer uses various decorative fingering (index finger). There are two types of ensemble: Awasewase, which plays in a rhythm determined by the beat, and Ashirai, which plays in a rhythm not determined by the beat. Both are used in ensembles that are in four beats only, and Ashirai is the only accompaniment to chanting. When the final note of each phrase in the basic melody is played through two finger holes (three in the Morita style) closest to the mouthpiece, it is called Oushiki-cho, and this is the basic style, but there are also pieces in Banshiki-cho, which play through the single hole closest to the mouthpiece....

From 【Hayashi】

...Except for Shiki Sanban (Okina), each piece is composed of one person for each instrument, but depending on the piece, there are "daishomono" (large small items) that do not include drums, and "taikomono" (taiko drums) that do. There are two ways of playing hayashi: "Awasefuki" (awasefuki, awasefuki), which is played to a clear rhythm, and "Ashirai noho" (ashirai fuki, ashirai uchi), which is played freely within a certain range without a strong sense of rhythm. Awasefuki for the flute is a playing style used only for hayashigoto, and there are three rhythmic patterns: normal beats, cross beats, and mixed beats.
