Riemenbügel (English spelling)

[Treatment]
In infancy, the standard treatment is to use a brace called Riemenbügel (German for leather stirrups), which suspends the legs from the shoulders in a flexed position. It is believed that the force exerted by the patient extending the knee while flexing and abducting the hip joint serves as the reduction force, and in many cases, dislocations are reduced using this brace.
