"Edo Mirror"

Japanese: 《江戸鑑》 - えどかがみ
"Edo Mirror"

...A small book that lists the names, home provinces, castles, rice yields, official ranks, lineages, successions, concubines, dates of alternate attendance, gifts and gifts, family crests, flags, and senior vassals of various feudal lords in the Edo period. The predecessor was a section titled "Japan's 60-odd provinces with over 10,000 koku of land" in the "Chidai Fukenki" published during the Kan'ei era (1624-44), but it was not until the "Shohobukan" (1647) that the book was fully organized, followed by the "Daimyo Bushikan" (1651, published by Nakano Jinbei at Nihonbashi, Edo), the "Chigyo-fu" (1656, published by Iseya), and the "Edo Kagami" (1659). Furthermore, the Honcho Bukekan, which included more detailed information, the Taihei Bukekan and Seiso Bukekan during the Genroku period (1688-1704), and the Shoen Bukekan and Itto Bukekan during the Hoei and Shōtoku periods (1704-16) were published.
