Akiha Dam

Located in the Tatsuyamacho area of ​​Tenryu Ward, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, this dam holds back the Tenryu River. Its reservoir is Lake Akiba. It regulates the amount of water flowing from the Sakuma Dam upstream, and the two power plants downstream have a maximum output of 80,000 kilowatts. It is a gravity concrete dam, 89 meters high, 273 meters wide, and has a total storage capacity of 34.7 million cubic meters. It was completed in 1958 (Showa 33). Water is also drawn from the Mikatahara Irrigation Canal, which serves as a water source for agricultural use and the Hamamatsu City water supply. Located at the western foot of Mount Akiba, it is spanned by a suspension bridge on the Tokai Nature Trail.

Akihabara Dam

静岡県浜松市天竜区龍山町(たつやまちょう)地区にあり、天竜川をせき止めたダム。貯水池は秋葉湖。上流の佐久間ダム(さくまだむ)の水量調節機能をもち、下流部の二つの発電所は、8万キロワットの最大出力をもつ。形式は重力式コンクリートダム。堤高89メートル。幅273メートル、総貯水量3470万立方メートル。1958年(昭和33)に完成した。三方原用水(みかたはらようすい)にも取水され、農業用水、浜松市上水道などの水源となる。秋葉山の西麓(せいろく)に位置し、東海自然歩道の吊橋(つりばし)がかかる。
