Year of death: 19th March 1132 (6th April 1132) Year of birth: 1075 A nobleman in the late Heian period. He was the son of Daizen-no-tafu Fujiwara Ienori and Ieshi, the wet nurse of Emperor Horikawa, the daughter of Hitachi no Suke Fujiwara Iefusa. His real name was Iemasa. After being ennobled in 1088, he served as Sahyoe no suke, Kuranokami, Daizen-no-tafu, and Shuri-no-tafu, and was also appointed as the governor of Shirakawa's territorial provinces, including Mimasaka, Harima, and Iyo, on several occasions. He was one of the typical trusted retainers who supported the economic foundation of Shirakawa's cloistered government by building the Imperial Palace and temples. The Emperor often visited his residence in Sanjo-Omiya. After the death of Emperor Shirakawa, he became the innoshi of Emperor Toba.
