Su Dingfang (English: Sū Dìng fāng)

A military commander of the Tang Dynasty in China. His pen name was Teiho. He was from Wuyi, Jizhou (Hebei Province). From around the time of the Zhenguan era (627-649), he distinguished himself in campaigns against the Turks and Goguryeo, and in the subjugation of the Western Turk rebel Ashinagaru. In 660 (5th year of Hyeongyeong), during the reign of Emperor Gojong, he was requested by Silla as the Left Military Guard Grand General, and led a naval force to capture and destroy King Uija of Baekje at Sabi and Kumseong Fortresses. In the following year (1st year of Ryusak), he advanced into Goguryeo as the Grand Commander-in-Chief of the Liaodong Provincial March, and in August, he surrounded Pyongyang Fortress. After returning to Korea, he pacified Tubo and Tuyuhun as the Ambassador of Anji, Liangzhou.

中国,唐の武将。字は定方。冀州武邑(河北省)の人。貞観(627‐649)ころより突厥,高句麗への外征や西突厥の叛臣の阿史那賀魯の討伐で功をあげた。660年(顕慶5)高宗のとき,左武衛大将軍として新羅の要請をうけ,水軍を率いて百済の義慈王らを泗沘,熊津両城に陥れ,滅ぼした。翌661年(竜朔1),遼東道行軍大総管として高句麗に進撃,8月平壌城を囲んだ。帰国後涼州安集大使として吐蕃(とばん),吐谷渾(とよくこん)を平定。
