Born on September 20, 1869. The fourth son of Nakayama Nobuaki. Adopted by Aoki Shigeyoshi, lord of the Settsu Asada Domain (Osaka Prefecture), he inherited the title of Viscount. Served as a member of the House of Peers from 1897 to 1946, and played an active role as a leader of the largest faction, the Research Association. Auditor at the Bank of Japan. Died on December 27, 1949. Age 81. Born in Hitachi (Ibaraki Prefecture). Graduated from Tokyo Law School (now Chuo University).
