Examples include the Servants of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Society of the Holy Trinity, the Society of the Redeemer (Mercedes), the Alexian Society, and the Society of the Assumption of Mary, as well as the Knights of St. John and the Dominican Order. All of them require the renunciation of personal property and joint prayer, and value the practice of cooperation and charity in communal life.
