1575? - 1636 (Tensho 3? - Kan'ei 13) A Renga poet from the early Edo period. Family name Satomura, given name Kagetoshi, pen names Kaiean, Haihokuan, and Chikuan. A native of Kyoto. Born into the distinguished Satomura family to Shoshitsu and Joha's daughter, he became the second head of the Minami family. In 1608 (Keicho 13), he became a Hokyo, and in 1626 (Kan'ei 3), he received the Kokin Tenshu from Emperor Gomizunoo. Among his pupils were leading haiku poets such as Soin and Shigeyori.
