Born in the first year of the Kyotoku era. A native of Ise (Mie prefecture). After traveling around various countries, he received a divine revelation at Udo Gongen in Hyuga (Miyazaki prefecture) and founded the Kage-ryu school. He passed away in the seventh year of Tenbun era. He was 87 years old. His name was Hisatada. He was commonly known as Tarozaemon. His pen name may have been Ika.
