IHO - IHO
International Hydrographic Organization . An international organization established in 1970 based on the International Hydrographic Organization Convention adopted in 1967. It is responsible for the surveying of waterways and the international standardization of nautical charts. Its predecessor, the International Hydrographic Bureau (IHB), established in 1921, serves as the IHO secretariat, and its headquarters are in Monaco.
