The birthplace of hadith was Medina, the city of the Prophet, and it arose from the natural desire of the sahaba (companions) to protect the teachings of the Prophet and pass on his character to future generations. Many of them were passed down immediately after Muhammad's death, and were first recorded by Zuhrī al-Zuhrī (?-742). On the one hand, it promoted the development of Islamic historical narratives, beginning with the biography of Muhammad, but on the other hand, as theologians and jurists tried to establish the Sunnah through hadith, scholars who aimed to study hadith rigorously, that is, followers of hadith, were born. ...
