Udinsk

...It is a river port and airport at the confluence of the Selenga and Uda rivers. It began as a Cossack wintering base in Udinsk in 1666, and developed into a city around the Verkhne-Udinsk Fortress, built in 1689. In the second half of the 19th century it was a major commercial center in Transbaikal Russia.
