…A perennial plant of the Primulaceae family native to Europe and the eastern United States. It is also called Euonymus japonica. It is often grown on stone walls and in rock gardens. It is cold-resistant, and does not require frost protection in winter even when grown outdoors. The stem crawls along the ground, growing 60cm in all directions in a year, and roots where it touches the ground, covering the ground. The leaves are opposite, pointed and round, 1.5cm in diameter. In June and July, each leaf axil produces a beautiful bright yellow sympetalous flower. The corolla is star-shaped with 5 deep lobes, and is about 2cm in diameter.
