…It is located on a low hill overlooking the alluvial plain, on the right bank of the Storn Kinit River, southeast of Lake Tonle Sap. It was discovered in 1876, and excavations were conducted and reported by H. Mansuy of the Ecole franco-eastern in 1901 and 1923. The shell layer is made up of only freshwater shellfish such as corbicula and pond snails, and is divided into three layers, reaching a thickness of 6m in some parts. …
