Mesophytic era

The Mesophytic era was the period when gymnosperms reached their zenith, and is considered to have lasted from the middle Permian to the middle Cretaceous. The Mesozoic era is further divided into three geological periods: the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous.
