Mimamsasutra (English spelling)

...Indian thinker and master of the Mīmāṃsā school. He further commented on the Shabara-bhāsa, which is an annotation of the Mīmāṃsā sūtra, the fundamental scripture of the school, said to have been written by Jaimini, and published a complex of annotations consisting of the Shloka-Bārttika, the Tantra-Bārttika, and the Tupthika. While he developed a hermeneutical theory from the standpoint of ritualism, he also sought to reject ideologies that did not recognize the Vedic scriptures as authoritative, especially Buddhism, from the standpoint of orthodox Brahmanism.

From [Jaimini]

…An ancient Indian scholar. He is considered the founder of the Mīmāṃsā school, which focuses on systematic hermeneutics of the rituals of the Vedic scriptures, and is said to be the author of the Mīmāṃsā-sūtra, the fundamental text of this school, but it is thought that it was arranged in its present form about 100 years later. This text is also called the Jaimini-sūtra, named after Jaimini, or the Twelve Chapters, since it consists of 12 chapters.
