Notacanthidae

...It preys on benthic organisms such as worms with its downward-opening mouth. In addition to this species, two other species of Notacanthidae fishes are known from Japan: the fox-sawfish and the black-sawfish (illustration). Both species are deep-sea and are rarely collected by bottom trawling, and are not particularly important in fisheries.
