Orochon people - Orochon (English spelling)

Japanese: オロチョン族 - オロチョンぞく（英語表記）Orochon

In Chinese, they are called the Orun Chun. They are one of the Tungusic speaking peoples who live in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China, scattered from Lake Baikal in Siberia to the Amur River area. In Russia, they are considered a branch of the Evenki people, but in China, they are considered a separate ethnic group. The population in China is about 7,800. They live a hunting economy and raise reindeer.

漢語では鄂倫春族と記す。中国の内モンゴル自治区，シベリアのバイカル湖付近からアムール川一帯に散在して住むツングース語系諸族の一民族。ロシアではエベンキ族の一派とみなされるが，中国では別々の民族とされている。中国領内の人口は約 7800。狩猟経済で，トナカイを飼養する。
