A Tungusic ethnic group living in the basins of the Amur River tributaries, the Ussuri River, Anyui River, and Sungari River. Population: about 1000. They call themselves Nani, meaning "local people". They make a living by hunting and fishing, and their prey includes foxes, deer, weasels, and salmon. They live on high ground along the rivers, and form village communities centered around patrilineal clans. The family structure is patrilineal extended. Shamanism is the pillar of their faith. アムール川の支流ウスリー江,アニュイ川,スンガリ川などの流域に住むツングース系の一民族。人口約 1000。自称はナニ Naniで「土地の人」の意。定着的な狩猟,漁労を生業とし,獲物はキツネ,シカ,イタチや,魚ではサケなどである。川に沿った高台に住居を構え,父系氏族組織を中心に村落共同体を形成している。家族形態は父系拡大家族である。シャーマニズムが信仰面の支柱となっている。
