...In Japan, many species flower from spring to autumn, and the long flowering period allows for viewing for 4 to 6 weeks. Intergeneric hybrids have also been produced between the Oncidium genus (Odontocidium) and the Miltonia genus ( Odontonia) . They require temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees Celsius or higher to overwinter, and prefer places with cooler night temperatures in summer.

Many horticultural species have been developed through interspecific hybridization, and intergeneric hybrids such as Miltonidium , Brassidium , and Odontocidium have been produced between Miltonia , Brassia , and Odontoglossum . They need to be kept at a temperature of 10°C or higher during the winter, and during the growing season from spring to autumn, they should be placed outdoors under cheesecloth and fertilized.
