Queen - Let's go

Empress of the fourth Tang emperor, Zhongzong. Born in Jingzhaowanian (Xian, Shaanxi Province). She was chosen as the empress when Zhongzong was still the crown prince, and became empress in 684. She shared the hardships of Zhongzong while he was exiled to Fangzhou (Hubei Province) by Empress Wu Zetian. However, when Zhongzong was restored to the throne in 705, she conspired with Empress Wu's nephew Wu Sansi, seized real power in place of Zhongzong, who was not enthusiastic about politics, and implemented a policy of corrupting the government, causing political chaos. She conspired with her daughter Princess Anle, who also had ambitions for the throne, to poison Zhongzong, but they were both executed by the son of the fifth emperor, Ruizong, Longji (later known as Xuanzong).

中国、唐第4代皇帝中宗の皇后。京兆万年（陝西(せんせい)省西安）の人。中宗が皇太子のとき妃(きさき)に選ばれ、684年皇后となった。則天武后(そくてんぶこう)によって中宗が房州（湖北省）に流されている間は艱苦(かんく)をともにした。しかし705年に中宗が復位すると武后の甥(おい)武三思(ぶさんし)と通じ、政治に不熱心な中宗にかわって実権を握り、濫官(らんかん)政策を行って政治を乱した。ともに帝位に野心をもつ娘安楽公主と謀って中宗を毒殺したが、第5代皇帝睿宗(えいそう)の子隆基（後の玄宗）にともども誅殺(ちゅうさつ)された。
