...One of the six schools of Indian philosophy that focuses on the practice of yoga and the study of metaphysics. In Sanskrit it is called Pātañjala after the name of its founder. The founder is said to be Patanjali, who is said to have composed the Yoga Sutra, the fundamental scripture of this school.
