In addition to these basic pricing policies, there are various individual policies to deal with specific situations. For a completely new product, there is the "skim-the-cream pricing" policy, which sets a high price at the market introduction stage and gradually lowers the price, the "penetration pricing" policy, which sets a low price from the beginning to rapidly develop the market, the "discriminatory pricing policy" or "discount policy" to respond with price differences depending on the target market, and the "resale price maintenance policy" to prevent price deterioration and stabilize prices. Pricing strategies are established and implemented from a long-term, comprehensive perspective based on the various policies mentioned above, while also taking into account the relationship with other marketing activities.
