Lejre

…a legendary dynasty that is said to have been founded by the first Danish king, Skill (meaning shield), and whose headquarters was in Lejre on the island of Zealand. The name Skill comes from the fact that he was found lying on a shield when his ship was cast ashore on the coast of Scania.
