Pozarevac (English spelling)

…the treaty of peace between the Ottoman Empire and Austria and Venice in the Austro-Turkish War (1716-18). The treaty was concluded in Passarowitz (now Požarevac), Serbia, in 1718, with Britain and the Netherlands acting as arbitrators. The treaty gave Austria, who had succeeded in taking Belgrade, control of Oltenia (western Wallachia), Banat, the Timișoara region, northern Bosnia, and parts of Serbia, while Venice controlled the Morea Peninsula, the Aegean islands, and parts of the coastal areas of Albania and Dalmatia. Austria's territorial expansion to the south was particularly notable (though it retained control of Serbia and Oltenia until 1739).
