[History of injections]
Traditionally, the syringe has been credited to the Frenchman Charles Gabriel Pravaz (1791-1853), and the syringe has been called the Pravatz syringe after his name. However, it seems that Pravaz only inserted something into the blood vessels of experimental animals, and the instrument was not a hypodermic syringe.
