Pyeongan system (English)

...refers to a series of strata from the Early Paleozoic Era (Cambrian to Middle Ordovician) in the Korean Peninsula. The Palaeozoic strata of the Korean Peninsula are represented by the Korean system and the Late Paleozoic Pyeongan system (Late Carboniferous to Permian to Triassic), but no strata from the Late Ordovician to Early Carboniferous have been identified. However, rocks containing fossils from the Silurian and Devonian periods have been reported as gravel in the granite.
