Qarin

...Population: 250,000 (1994), urban area population: 430,000 (1994). Qarin was an Armenian settlement in ancient times, and it was the seat of a bishopric from the 4th century onwards. Theodosius II founded the city in the first half of the 5th century (Theodosiopolis).
