This is an account book created by the Sengoku daimyo Hojo Ujiyasu, which records the tax levies that served as the basis for the imposition of various duties on his clan and vassals. It is also known as the "Hojo Family Rank Book" and the "Odawara Hojo Estate Tax Book." It is one volume and has a colophon dated 1559. The Later Hojo clan carried out several land surveys between 1520 (Eisho 17) and 1555 (Koji 1), and this book was compiled based on these surveys. The tax levies of 560 vassals are recorded in kanmon (Japanese characters) and divided into 12 groups, including the "Odawara group" from which the book takes its title, the "Umamawari group," and the "Tamanawa group," and the names of their villages and villages are also listed.
