Serigraphy

...A type of block printing technique (stencil printing, mimeograph printing). Also called serigraphy. A thin piece of fabric such as silk is stretched over a frame, and only the areas that you want to leave white are covered with paper or other material to prevent ink from passing through, and then ink is printed over the fabric through the grain.
