This project was the starting point of attempts to communicate with highly technologically advanced aliens living on other planets through radio waves. In 1960, Frank Donald Drake attempted to receive 21-centimeter radio waves from the stars Tau Ceti and Epsilon Eridanus using a 26-meter antenna at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia (transferred to the Green Bank Observatory in 2016). The observations themselves were discontinued after 400 hours, and the reception was unsuccessful, but the project was significant in that it raised interest in radio astronomy among academics and the general public, and provided a new stimulus to the view of aliens. The name of this project, "Ozma," comes from Princess Ozma, a character in Baum's fairy tale series (such as "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz"). [Hiromitsu Yokoo October 19, 2018] "We Are Not Alone" by W.
