Okatatsunamisou - Okatatsunamisou

A perennial plant of the Lamiaceae family (APG classification: Lamiaceae) that grows in hilly areas. The stem is erect, unbranched, and 10-30 cm tall. The leaves are opposite, with 1-2 cm stalks, and the leaf blade is triangular-oval and 1.5-5 cm long. In May and June, it produces short spikes at the end of the stems and bears blue-purple flowers. It is distributed in Honshu south of Miyagi Prefecture and in Shikoku.

シソ科（APG分類：シソ科）の多年草で、丘陵地に生える。茎は直立し、分枝せず、高さ10～30センチメートル。葉は対生して1～2センチメートルの柄があり、葉身は三角状卵形で長さ1.5～5センチメートル。5～6月ごろ茎の先に短い穂をつくって青紫色の花をつける。本州の宮城県以南と四国に分布する。
