Shinobi clan - Oshihan

After Tokugawa Ieyasu entered the Kanto region, the Fudai Domain was established in Shinobu, Musashi Province (Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture). In 1590 (Tensho 18), Matsudaira Ietada of Fukozu was given 10,000 koku of rice, and towards the end of the Sengoku period, he restored Oshi Castle, which had been the domain of the Narita clan, and made it his castle. In 1592 (Bunroku 1), he was transferred to Kajiro, Shimousa Province (Chiba Prefecture), and then Matsudaira Tadayoshi (Ieyasu's fourth son) was given 100,000 koku of rice, and in 1594, he promoted the development of the domain by repairing the course of the Tone River. After Tadayoshi moved to Kiyosu Castle in Owari (Aichi Prefecture) in 1600 (Keicho 5) after the Battle of Sekigahara, the Oshi territory was given to the castle guards and in 1626 (Kan'ei 3) it became the additional fief of Sakai Tadakatsu of the Fukaya Domain. After that, in 1633, Matsudaira (Okochi) Nobutsuna was given 30,000 koku of land and became the feudal lord, served as a senior councilor, and worked hard to improve the administration of the domain until he was transferred to Kawagoe in 1639. In the same year, Abe Tadaaki was given 50,000 koku of land from Mibu in Shimotsuke (Tochigi Prefecture). Tadaaki was given 10,000 koku of land in 1647 (Shoho 4) and 20,000 koku of land in 1663 (Kanbun 3), bringing his total to 80,000 koku. The Abe clan served as senior councilors for three generations, including Tadaaki, his adopted son Masayoshi, and Masatake. During Masatake's time, the clan's fiefdom was increased to 100,000 koku, and in 1699 (Genroku 12), the fiefdoms of Sagami (Kanagawa Prefecture) and Kozuke (Gunma Prefecture) were transferred to Musashi, and the fiefdoms of Oshi were increased to 60,000 koku, Chichibu, Hachigata, and Kakinoki were increased to 20,000 koku, and Settsu (Osaka Prefecture and Hyogo Prefecture) was increased to 20,000 koku. The following year, Masatake rebuilt Oshi Castle. Masataka was next in line as a senior councilor, followed by Masachika, Masatoshi, Masatsune, Masayori, and Masanori, but in 1823 (Bunsei 6), the domain was transferred to Shirakawa in Mutsu (Fukushima Prefecture), and Matsudaira Tadataka was transferred from Kuwana. The domain's territory was 80,000 koku in Musashi and 20,000 koku in Harima (Hyogo Prefecture), but it was struggling with financial difficulties. Next came Tadasato and Tadakuni, who were responsible for the coastal defense of Kazusa and Awa (Chiba Prefecture), and were succeeded by Tadazane and Tadataka, after which the domains were abolished and prefectures were established, and in July 1871 (Meiji 4), it became Oshi Prefecture, and in November it was incorporated into Saitama Prefecture.
