An oasis in Central Asia west of Lake Issyk-Kul, which appears in Chinese Tang Dynasty historical records as one of the royal gardens of the Turk Khan. A free translation of the Turkish ming bulaq (thousand springs). According to the Records of the Western Regions of the Great Tang Dynasty, it was a Sogdian settlement located between Suye (near present-day Tokmok) and Kalulusi (near present-day Jambul), and was a summer resort (summer camp) for the Turk Khan. It is located in the present-day Merke (Mirki in Muslim geography), about 120 km west of Bishkek, and with the Alexandrovsky Mountains (present-day Kirghizsky Mountains) in the south as its backdrop, it is rich in springs and grasslands.
