Also called extrusion. A method for manufacturing metal products, plastic products, carbon products, etc. This is a processing method in which the material to be manufactured is strongly pressed and pushed out through a die hole, and is used to make rods, tubes, and other long, slender products with arbitrary cross-sectional shapes, such as aluminum sashes for window frames with complex cross-sections. It has good dimensional accuracy. There are hot extrusion and cold extrusion.

押出しとも。金属製品，プラスチック製品，炭素製品などを製作する工法。製作する素材を強圧してダイス（金型）孔から押し出す加工法で，複雑な断面をもつ窓枠用アルミサッシなどのような，棒，管その他任意の断面形状の細長い製品を作る場合に用いられる。寸法精度がよい。熱間押出しと冷間押出しがある。
